Steppin' Out Saturday

 The whole week has been absolutely beautiful.  It's been extremely sunny and yesterday's temperature was in the low 70s.  BAM.  Every day at work I would longingly look out my office window just waiting for the weekend to come.  I had visions of beach parties, sipping lemonade in the sun, and getting my tan on.

I woke up this morning with sunglasses in hand only to find it overcast and 20 degrees cooler than the previous days.  Le boo.  I wasn't about to let the weather's mood swing get to me.  I donned my summer dress, put on some sandals and braved the wind.  This is what I wore.

Do not even get me started with how most of my wardrobe comes from Style Lab.  Last week I received a call from my good friend Sarah Willey.  She cautiously informed me that Style Lab was gone.  GONE people!  As in, it was there one day and as vacant as Charlie Sheen's soul the day after.  I tell ya, it's a good thing we're leaving Korea.  I don't know where I would find my clothes if we stayed.  

Steppin' Out Saturday

The weekend was beautiful here in Pohang, Korea.  Well, Saturday was actually pretty cold and overcast, but today (Sunday) was in the high 50's and sunny and bright.  So yes, if you haven't already figured it out, this is a "Steppin' Out Sunday" post but I figure since Korea is so far in the future, it'll still be Saturday back in the States.  I think we call it "bi-winning".

Steppin' Out Saturday

It's been awhile since I've done one of these. They're so much fun but I'm a little hesitant to contribute since I find it hard to remember exactly where I got my clothes from.

One of my guilty blogging pleasures is Harper's Happenings.  It's a blog that I can't really relate to (besides the fact that Mandy, the blogger-mama is from Tacoma, WA) as it revolves around her adorable little girl, thrifting, and well- style in general.  I've got no babies, little to no thrifting in the ROK, and my "style" has been all over the place since moving to Korea.  All that aside, I love her blogging style and her vlogs with little Harper have me keeled over with laughter. 

In conclusion, I love her blog and I decided it was time for another S.O.S.  So there.

Steppin' Out Saturday

Okay okay I'm late.  It's technically Monday night in Korea, but we live in the future so I'm really not that  behind.

Our weekend was awesome.  We are saving pennies for our big expedition, our 3 year anniversary, and our next big vacation so we've been attempting to lay low for the next few weeks.  We spent most of Saturday at home.  I cooked a little pasta bake (you can find the recipe here) and then the boy and I headed over to our friend's house for a big potluck and game night with all the other Pohang foreigners.  It was good fun!

We also managed to take a few pictures of us "Steppin' Out".  Here's what we wore.

Sunday was spent chillaxin' at home.  My friend Claire and I are going to try to get back into marathon training but it's just too frigid right now.  You think I'm making excuses, but really it's the coldest weather that Korea's experienced in over 100 years.  Take that.  I'm really just lazy.

Steppin' Out Sunday

Korea is brrrr cold people.  très cold.  I layered up before we ventured out today.  We've had a surprisingly super lazy weekend.  It was fantastic.  After the boy made two failed attempts at getting to Seoul, we decided to have lunch and lay low.  And while it may seem like the boy and I see each other all the time, we really don't get to spend quality time with each other.  It was a much needed Captain and Clark weekend.

Steppin' Out Sunday

Our weekend's been pretty relaxing.  We had originally planned to go up to Seoul for some New Years celebrations with our good friend Ryan Sheldon.  The bus schedule had other plans for us and we found ourselves stuck in good ol' Pohang.  I spent today hanging out with some a my favorite ladies.  We had coffee, ate lunch, did a fair amount of shopping, watched Harry Potter (again), and ended the day with some games at the arcade.  Here's what I wore...

We wanted to try out a new place for lunch and we decided that we had to go here.  If only because of the name.

And it wouldn't be the usual day out with the girls unless some shopping was involved.  Today we sought after warm hats since Korea is freeeezing.  Almost as cold as Kim Jong-Il's heart. 

Not a bad way to spend the weekend.  It was exactly what we needed as we haven't fully recovered from our whirlwind trip to the Philippines.  Now I'm going to kick back, relax, watch some CSI or NCIS reruns on the tele and prepare myself for another week with the kiddos.  Cheers!
